With the increase in interest rates in the UK and a possible decrease in interest rates in the US this is looking pretty likely. Unfortunately this will possibly impact on UK exports, but good for British shoppers though.
Currently at £20 billion this will increase to £40 billion by 2010. I think this is a clear indication that high street stores will become more like places to examine the goods rather than purchase them.
The Avian flu will mutate and become airborn. Its new idenity will be born in Europe and the Middle East. America will have to pull many troops out of the land, not knowing that the virus will come with them. America will only see a glimpse of its terror. Though the death count between both Europe and The Middle East will only reach a number in the 700's.

The market will remain steady during the first quarter but it is pretty much expected that things will continue slowing down. There will be the occasional scare story out there, but most of the time it will just be part of the general background investment noise.
Overall the first quarter of 2008 will be quite interesting as it will validate quite a few theories as to the direction of the prices later in the year. Basically that we can expect a relatively moderate drop by December as the season slows down naturally.
Unfortunately this is a long term trend in the property investment prediction and we can expect the rest of 2008 to be pretty much the same.
